Having followed many of my favorite beauty bloggers' Lush raves lately, I've been looking for a reason to steer my steps toward their delicious smelling stores, so the timing of my night cream running out could not have been better. I explained that I wanted something a bit more moisturizing than my old night cream to prep my skin for the Swedish winter, so the girl working in the store recommended Cosmetic Lad - a pretty basic moisturizer with aloe vera and lavender. Although labeled as a multipurpose moisturizer, I will use it as a night cream as it packs a serious hydrating punch and thus takes a while to sink in.
As with any other Lush product, it smells absolutely divine of lavender, wheatgrass and honey. So much so that I was tempted to wash off my makeup and apply it when I came home, but I will try to contain my excitement until tonight. Upon a closer read of the description (since the name wasn't obvious enough for me) Cosmetic Lad apparently doubles as a shaving cream for men. Not sure if the recommendation by the store clerk was an insult in disguise, but nonetheless I can't wait to slather this on my face come nightfall.
